About Me

Tom was born and raised in upstate New York with his sister and brother where they attended public schools. He graduated in 1976 with a Regents diploma from John Jay High School. After high school he attended Rochester Institute of Technology where he graduated in 1980 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Licensed as a CPA in the State of Ohio in 1995 his current license status is “retired”.

Following college, Tom was drawn to Fairfield to take a position with Champion International in Hamilton, OH. This marked the beginning of a career that spanned more than forty years in various analytical accounting and management positions in the private sector, as well as being a self employed information technology consultant. Tom retired from M. Bohlke Veneer as Controller in 2022.

He married his wife Paula, a Fairfield native, in 1987 welcoming her son Wesley into the family as well. Their daughter Lindsay was born in 1991. Having attended parochial schools herself, Paula had very strong feelings about her children attending them too. Both children attended Sacred Heart School in Fairfield with Wesley going on to Badin and Lindsay to McAuley. As the children were growing up, Tom actively assisted in coaching their various youth sports teams including soccer, baseball and softball.

Tom was elected to the Fairfield Board of Education in November 2013 and served on the Board from January 2014 until July 2015; having to resign when we moved out of the district to Reily Township.

In his spare time Tom likes to watch his granddaughter’s theater performances, hike, putter around the yard and do woodworking, especially intarsia, which he has started learning since retiring.
